Ordered double fish (fried + batang), tomyam, with added noodles and egg, in the biggest size.
The food tasted great. Batang was a bit too soft, but the fried fish (dory) was not bad. Tomyam soup was really good, not salty at all. If you have a small appetite, don't upsize — it's a very big portion.
Atmosphere: Tables are too close to each other.
I came in the morning, and there was no queue (I browsed through the past comments, and there were many issues with waiting). Even so, there was still a slight waiting time of about 10-15 minutes. The food was good, so please come during non-peak hours!

Hey, we're back here again at Ron Sheng Fish Soup at Plantation Plaza! Last time, when they first opened, the wait was crazy – almost an hour! But the food was awesome. I saw online that they fixed the wait times, and this time it was only 12 minutes – totally fine. The food was amazing. We'll definitely be back!

Omg, 45 minutes, still no food! Some of those who came earlier were also not yet served.
After 55 minutes, the food came. It was delicious. I would return if they sort out the teething issues.
Very nice fish soup, and the garlic chilli goes very well with the fish. In fact, I'm quite puzzled why it has such a low rating on Google.
It will be my go-to place in the West if I'm craving fish soup.
I tried both the plain and Tom Yum soup bases, and both were great. The Tom Yum soup stands out as it’s different from the typical food court and hawker versions that rely on paste. It has additional ingredients like lime and lemongrass that add depth to the flavour. The hand-torn mee hoon kueh is one of my favourite noodle choices. I also like the variety of fish options, including batang, red grouper, and fried fish. The garlic chilli is excellent too. Only waited around 10 mins despite the store being full.
Somewhat absurd that we had to wait about 35 minutes for three bowls of fish soup, even though the staff standing outside the kitchen didn't seem to have anything to do. We were not sure where the bottleneck was. The fish soup itself was also nothing to shout about. Its taste was quite normal. There wasn't much fish in the regular portion, though one of us who ordered the large bowl said there was a lot. The fried fish egg also looked completely different from the picture; it was much smaller. We really cannot recommend this.
