It’s generally a pleasant visit with all right food. It does take a while as there’s only one chef, but the dishes are prepared carefully. The Fish & Chips tasted okay with a generous portion of fries, but the oil they used tasted “re-used.” The Ribeye steak tasted well-done (quite hard), even though we asked for medium-well. I appreciate that they allowed me to change fries to mash, but the mash was a small portion. Prices are similar to usual cafes.

Visited this cafe for dinner with our family of eight. Hubby was looking forward to the ribeye steak. Unfortunately, it was unavailable, and so was the bangers and mash. He had to settle for fish and chips, which was okay. The ambiance was okay, small and cozy. It took a while for the food to arrive, but that was fine as we were given a heads-up. Last to arrive, but totally worth the wait, was the Chicken and Waffles, which was for my 5-year-old boy. Great presentation, and he loved it! Everyone had an enjoyable meal together. Overall, the food was good; however, I recommend coming in small groups of 2 or 3.

Enjoyed the lunch dishes. We ordered Brussels sprouts, a breakfast platter, and a meaty Mac and cheese for 2 adults and 1 child. The platter was very generous. The meaty Mac and cheese is a tomato-based spin-off of the usual Mac and cheese, which is a nice touch. The Brussels sprouts were very tasty with the toppings and the ponzu sauce. The cheesecake was light but not quite my personal preference. The Nutella milkshake had a nice balance. The place is quite nicely decorated but a bit squeezy and has limited capacity. I would advise going earlier before lunchtime if you don't want to wait. :)

Tasty, hearty, and generously portioned Western dishes at reasonable prices. Their best-selling healthy options such as Miso Salmon and Charred Brussels were sold out. Everything that we tried was perfectly seasoned, and we licked our plates clean.

Here's the edited review: I personally thought the food was good and reasonably priced (no service charge). The staff was polite, and the food also came out fast. I highly recommend others to patronise them (and maybe try their jelly cake; it's pretty unique). 10/10, would come again :)

Waffles: Soggy, cold, and flavourless. And it's HALF a waffle (yes, it was literally cut in half and served), not whole like other cafes. Tasted like the waffles from downstairs HDB where the aunties sell to you at $1.90. Mashed potatoes: The portion was pathetically small for the price. Also very salty and cold. Tasted like powdered 7-Eleven ones and not actual mashed potatoes. Egg: The best part, but the portion was small too. Corn & Edamame (husband’s order): Cold and wet. What the heck is being prepared? Am I having Western cuisine or chicken feed? Sausages: So-so. And we paid $40 for this. At this price, we are usually paying for the food and ambience, which this place fails in both areas. If you want to price your items this high, they better meet the quality and standard. Or just stick to a maximum of $9.90 a plate. Saving costs? Sorry, don’t operate a business if you have this mindset.

The prices are way too expensive for a neighbourhood supermarket, comparable to Cold Storage in CBD areas. As a result, we hardly shop here except for items with standardized prices, such as Gardenia bread. Even eggs cost more than NTUC. The only good thing is that it's clean, and because of the high prices, there's no queue even on weekends.

Big and spacious, but smaller than the IMM mall. It offers more variety, and it's also newer and cleaner.

This Giant sells expired yoghurt. Daily Fresh yoghurt that expired on June 25 was still in the fridge today, June 27. When I highlighted this to one of the staff, their first response was "this one is stocked by another auntie." I had to insist that this is Giant's problem before they said they would inform the other staff. The auntie also asked me whether there were a lot of expired goods. It's 2-3 tubs of yoghurt, not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but does that mean having "just a few" expired goods is OK?! This is a system failure in the management of fresh goods and turnover in Giant. Disappointed in Giant, and in the attitude of their staff.

19/06/2025 11:10 - 11:12 Racial discrimination by a Filipino cashier. This idiotic cashier served others with a smile, but when it came to me, she had a black face. Such discrimination needs to be reviewed by Giant's management.
