Give Your Blessings a New Beginning: Lunar New Year Red Packet Recycling

Lunar New Year Red Packet Recycling Program at Plantation Plaza

As the festivities of the Lunar New Year draw to a close, many of us are left with stacks of red packets that have served their purpose. While these envelopes represent tradition and good fortune, they also offer an opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable future. Plantation Plaza, in partnership with Geneco, is proud to announce the return of our Red Packet Recycling Program, an initiative designed to turn today's luck into tomorrow’s legacy.

Nurturing a Greener Future

From January 16 to March 31, 2026, we invite the community to join us in our mission to reduce waste and embrace a circular economy. By recycling your used or excess red packets, you are helping to "Power the Change" and protect the environment for future generations. This program is a small but meaningful step toward a zero-waste lifestyle, ensuring that the blessings shared during the holidays continue to benefit the world long after the celebrations have ended.

How to Participate

Contributing to this eco-friendly initiative is simple and can be done during your next visit to the mall. To participate, follow these three easy steps:

First, gather your unused or old red packets from home. Second, take a moment to remove any non-paper elements, such as ribbons, adhesive tape, or plastic decorative pieces, as these cannot be processed in the paper recycling stream. Finally, bring your prepared packets to Plantation Plaza and drop them into the designated blue recycling bin located at the Level 2 Redemption Counter, right outside Skechers.

Join the Movement

Every packet recycled is a step toward a brighter, more beautiful world. We encourage everyone to take part in this collective effort to minimize our environmental footprint. Let’s work together to ensure that our traditions remain vibrant while staying mindful of the planet we call home.
