Ordered double fish (fried + batang), tomyam, with added noodles and egg, in the biggest size.
The food tasted great. Batang was a bit too soft, but the fried fish (dory) was not bad. Tomyam soup was really good, not salty at all. If you have a small appetite, don't upsize — it's a very big portion.
Atmosphere: Tables are too close to each other.
Not sure if this is related to Yuhua Village's Ron Sheng (Michelin Plate). Had batang fish porridge ($7.80), Red Grouper soup with rice ($12.80). Ordered extra egg and vegetables, but didn't seem to notice a difference in vegetable quantity. Batang porridge was good, but Red Grouper meat was too soft and had a 'powdery' feel. Food was served to the table, but cutlery and condiments were self-service. The comforting thing was the setting: air conditioning, ample seats (with limited outdoor seats available).
I ordered the Batang sliced fish soup. Broth was delicious, fish was tender.
However, the waiting time was very long. We had to wait 35 minutes for our order during dinner time. To be fair, I am someone that does not queue for food, so this was a sore point for me. Maybe 15 minutes would have been acceptable, but 35 is too long.
I came in the morning, and there was no queue (I browsed through the past comments, and there were many issues with waiting). Even so, there was still a slight waiting time of about 10-15 minutes. The food was good, so please come during non-peak hours!
Visited for lunch and left feeling quite disappointed by both the value and overall experience. I ordered the fish soup, which was priced at $15 but came with only 3 small pieces of fish. This was not quite justifiable for the cost.
While we were seated by staff and the food was brought to our table, ordering was done through a QR code, and we still had to get our own cutlery. It's unclear what the 10% service charge is meant to cover, given the limited interaction and self-service elements.
The floor was also noticeably dirty, which detracted from the overall dining environment. I hope this feedback is helpful. With some adjustments to value, cleanliness, and service clarity, the experience could be significantly improved.
