Giant at Plantation Plaza keeps three year-end card discounts until 31 December 2026. Seniors who are Singapore citizens or PRs aged 60 and above get 4% off every Tuesday. CHAS Blue cardholders get 3% off every Thursday. CHAS Orange cardholders get 3% off every Friday. Giant's card-discounts page says those exclusive discounts run on selected days till 31st December 2026. The senior-citizens page repeats 4% off every Tuesday from now till 31st December. Giant Facebook reels state the same Tuesday, Thursday, Friday split through 31 December 2026.
This is not the October 6% doubling
Separately, Giant is doubling CHAS to 6% at all stores from 1 to 30 October 2026. That overlay ends in four days. After 30 October 2026, the rates on this page are the ones that remain: 4% Tuesday for seniors, 3% Thursday for Blue, 3% Friday for Orange, through 31 December 2026. Do not arrive in November expecting 6% unless Giant publishes a new banner.
All three year-end discounts are in-store only at every Giant Singapore outlet, including this basement at 127 Plantation Crescent. They are not valid online. You have to be at the cashier. A relative cannot use your ID or CHAS card on your behalf. Giant's senior FAQ is blunt on that point.
What to bring on Tuesday
Giant accepts Identification Card, driving licence, ez-link card with your photo, PAssion Silver Card, PAssion Silver Concession Card, Pioneer Generation Card, and Merdeka Generation Card. You must already be 60. A few months short does not qualify. There is no minimum spend. More than one purchase in a day still gets the 4%. Promotional yellow-tag items still take the extra 4% unless they sit on the exclusion list.
Excluded: tobacco and cigarettes, alcohol, newspapers and magazines, infant milk powder, consumer electronics, Cold Storage Singapore gift vouchers, lottery, and concessionaire counters. The same list sits on the CHAS card-discounts terms. All payment methods are accepted for the senior 4%.
Tuesday mornings at this Giant are the practical senior slot. The store opens at 8:00am, two hours before the mall. Koufu on Level 3 opens from 7:30am if you want breakfast first. Bus stop Plantation Cres, Tengah CC, 40389, is covered. Parking is 128A and 128B. The supermarket is large enough for a weekly shop without walking the atrium.
CHAS Thursday and Friday after October
From 1 November 2026, Blue CHAS is 3% on Thursday and Orange CHAS is 3% on Friday unless Giant extends another doubling. Present the physical or digital CHAS card. Verification may be required. No online. Same exclusions. If you hold both senior status and a CHAS card, Tuesday and your CHAS weekday are two different days. Giant does not print both percentages on the same Tuesday bill just because you carry two cards.
Pioneer and Merdeka Generation cards are listed on Giant's Facebook senior copy alongside the Tuesday 4%. Bring the card that staff can read fastest. If the till prompt fails, ask before you pay. Giant reserves the right to amend terms without prior notice, which is why the year-end date on the official pages matters more than a screenshot from February.
This neighbourhood Giant is not Tampines Hypermarket. Range is smaller. The card rates still apply. That is the point of coming downstairs on the right weekday instead of shopping a random afternoon in December.
