Giant at Plantation Plaza is running a doubled CHAS discount from 1 to 30 October 2026. The official Giant promotions banner says CHAS cardholders enjoy 6% off at all Giant stores in that window. The usual in-store CHAS rate is 3%. AllSingaporeDeals recorded the same 1 to 30 October 2026 dates on 1 October.
How to take the 6% at this Giant
The campaign covers every Giant store in Singapore, including the 1,825 sq m basement supermarket at 127 Plantation Crescent. You have to shop in store. Giant's card-discount terms say the CHAS rate is not valid online or on foodpanda.
Bring the physical CHAS card or a digital copy and stand at the cashier yourself. A relative cannot use your card if you are not there. There is no minimum spend on the standard in-store CHAS discount. Ask the till to confirm the 6% printed on the receipt before you pay, because Giant's October banner does not name Thursday or Friday the way the September window did.
The September campaign at this store, which this site already covered, ran 3 to 25 September 2026 with Blue on Thursday and Orange on Friday. The October banner is a new 1 to 30 October 2026 window. It is not a rewrite of the September dates.
What the till will refuse
Giant's published exclusion list still covers tobacco and cigarettes, alcohol, newspapers and magazines, infant milk powder, consumer electronics, gift vouchers, lottery, and concessionaire counters. Mixed trolleys are common here because the basement also sells household paper and frozen food next to the fresh counters. If a line item looks excluded, split it or ask before the cashier closes the bill.
The 6% can sit on top of a yellow-tag price. That is the useful bit if you time rice, frozen meat, and household paper for one October trip instead of three midweek shops. Stocks last. SKUs change by store. This outlet is a neighbourhood Giant, not Tampines Hypermarket, so do not expect Tampines-only bags or refresh specials on B1.
Tuesday seniors, then CHAS, then the rest of the week
Singapore citizens and PRs aged 60 and above still get Giant's separate 4% off every Tuesday until 31 December 2026. That scheme is on Giant's senior-citizens page. It is not CHAS. If you qualify for both, Tuesday and a CHAS day are the two days that actually move a weekly bill at this store.
After 30 October 2026 the doubled 6% ends. Giant's year-end card page then returns to Blue CHAS 3% every Thursday and Orange CHAS 3% every Friday, still until 31 December 2026. Keep the card out at payment either way. Terms can change without much warning.
This Giant opens at 8:00am, two hours before most of Plantation Plaza, and closes at 10:00pm. Thursday and Friday mornings are quieter than Saturday. If you also hold yuu, check the app for expiring vouchers before you queue. A CHAS day plus a voucher you were about to waste is a better combination than either one alone.
Getting to B1 without a car
Plantation Plaza sits at 127 Plantation Crescent, next to Tengah Community Club. The nearest bus stop is Plantation Cres, Tengah CC, code 40389. Trunk buses from Jurong East, Bukit Batok, and Choa Chu Kang drop you on a short covered walk. Tengah Plantation MRT on the Jurong Region Line is still targeted for 2028, so buses remain the public-transport default.
HDB basement parking at 128A and 128B is the usual car option. Combine Giant with Koufu on Level 3 or Swensen's on Level 1 only if you have time. Arrive before 5:00pm on a weekday if you want a full weekly shop without the mall peak.
