Chinese Calligraphy and Ink Painting Class at Beijing Language School, Plantation Plaza
Beijing Language School at unit -05 in Plantation Plaza will run a Chinese Calligraphy and Ink Painting class during the September school holidays from 7 to 11 September 2026. Sessions run daily from 1pm to 3pm, with a lesson fee of SGD $55 per session and a material fee of SGD $5 per session.
Students will learn fundamental brushstroke rules, changes in movement, Kai Shu practice, and character structure as part of the calligraphy curriculum. The ink painting component covers subjects including bamboo, pandas, goldfish, prawns, crabs, animals, fruits, landscapes, flowers, and birds. Participants will also explore palace fans and umbrellas as art forms.
Each student will create at least one artwork per session. The class is designed for children looking to explore traditional Chinese art techniques in a hands-on setting during the school holiday period.
