Chin Lee restaurant is a luxurious place; the quality of the food and service is all top-level. The appetiser, made of braised peanuts and bean curd, is delicious and fragrant. The salted egg prawn was cooked to a savoury texture, which is a favorite among Singaporeans; the prawn was fresh as well. The second dish was a crispy chicken, juicy and tender, with garlic infused to give it a kick. The last dish, the lup han zai, was cooked beautifully. They cleared dirty plates often and helped to refill our teacups.

Decent Teochow Chinese food at Chin Lee. It's quite a hidden gem, as it’s tucked away in a corner on the second floor. We ordered a set menu. Dishes we particularly liked included the chicken, fish, and prawn. Service is good, and they were very accommodating with our larger table as we came with children. Overall, the food and service were pretty good.

Food is great and served warm. Kway Teow Cai Bo is special. Teochew Braised Vegetable is a must-try. Fish maw in this dish is surprisingly crunchy. We had Orh Nee to wrap up our dinner. The pumpkin in the Orh Nee adds another dimension to this dessert. Staff is friendly and polite. Highly recommended 👍

We went for a family dinner. The staff was attentive; when she saw me using a spoon to cut the meat, she (Peggy) brought a knife and fork. Also, other small thoughtful touches gave us a good impression of the service. The food was delicious.

We went for lunch and were assigned a table right by the door near a walkway. We requested a change since there were many empty tables around, but the server simply said, “Cannot change.” This was our first time there, and it will definitely be the last. Food was average, and the service was poor.

Good Teochew cuisine, and their food is tasty and well-seasoned. It's a great place for company or family reunions. Staff are friendly; however, an aftertaste leaves you feeling thirsty, so I guess that's why it's so yummy.

Good place for trying out Teochew food. The steamed pomfret cost us $105 and could have been much better, as it was tough and not tender. What a pity, since steamed Teochew dishes are supposed to be their signature. I liked the gelatinous pig trotter as it was very well done! The qinglong vegetable was good too, as were the Zhejiang pork ribs. We also ordered salted vegetable soup, which felt very homely. I did not quite like the fried oyster omelette and the fried Teochew kway teow, even though a friend highly recommended them. We were a party of 5, so it was fun to try the different dishes. It was my second time there, and my first for dinner.

Here's the edited review:
It’s a hidden gem that I only just discovered, even though it has been open for almost two years (since the COVID-19 pandemic). It's actually a sister restaurant to its main restaurant in Bedok. It’s family-friendly, mostly featuring round table settings. It's easily good for 6-12 pax. This place can get very crowded, so arrive early to avoid disappointment. It’s very spacious, has a nice ambiance, and is comfortable for dining. It’s a Teochew restaurant, so be sure to try their signature dishes. Chilled Teochew Pork Trotter Jelly, Homemade Teochew Prawn Ball, and Teochew Kway Teow are some of the must-try items. There is currently a promotion for an extra value set available for weekday dinners only, which truly offers great value for money. You can choose from fish/prawn, chicken/duck/meat, and veg/tofu/omelette, along with rice, soup, and tea/water. All the dishes tasted great, and the portions were decent for four adults. Especially the coffee pork ribs; they were tender, juicy, and flavorful. The Kway Teow also had excellent 'wok hey'. The only disappointment we experienced was not receiving our oyster omelette (蠔煎) order during our 45-minute dining time (6:45 pm - 7:30 pm). We're not sure if they missed our order, but they claimed it was still in the order queue even after we finished our entire extra value set. We simply had to give up, disappointed. You can't expect a customer to wait for an oyster omelette for another 30 minutes when they've already finished their dinner. Perhaps they simply couldn't cope with the orders and didn't mind losing one or two customers, as they would still sell the dish to a later customer (likely with a shorter wait time). That resulted in a 2-star rating for service. Hopefully, I can try it on my next visit (with a more reasonable waiting time).

Great atmosphere. The restaurant is well-designed and looks great, making the dining much more comfortable. Food and service are great too. I found the chairs a bit hard to sit on; they made my back feel a bit uncomfortable after a while, but overall everything is great.

Authentic Teochew Cuisine.
For dinner on Saturday, luckily we had made a reservation as the place was almost full.
Being first-timers, we ordered a fair bit from their recommended list.
Food was served very fast, and they asked if we wanted to slow down the pace. However, the last three dishes did not arrive until we prompted them again.
I would say the food was within our expectations for good Teochew cuisine, and portions were good.
The only exception was the Teochew kway teow; it was an 'L' (large) portion, but hardly enough for 8 of us.
