Here's the edited review: **Salted Egg Chicken Fried Rice** The fried rice was bland, and the chicken was under-seasoned. The salted egg sauce was also bland. The portion was small for the price we paid. **XO Sauce Fried Carrot Cake** This was the only one that was decent. It did not have any wok flavour. The portion size was also small. **Fried Pork Belly Rice Bowl** The pork belly was fried well but, as expected, bland. The omelette was also bland, which made up 80% of the dish. Service was not up to standard, as we needed to call the staff a few times before they even attended to us. Overall, most of the food was bland and very overpriced for the portion.

I am writing to share my disappointing experience at your Plantation Plaza branch on 20/2/25, between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. My family and I ordered the following items: • Fried Kway Teow • Nasi Lemak • Chicken Cutlet Fried Rice • Iced Yuan Yang • Iced Coffee • Iced Milo The Fried Kway Teow and drinks were served promptly, and we assumed the rice dishes would follow soon, especially since the restaurant was not particularly crowded, though we did notice some GrabFood orders being prepared. However, after waiting for nearly 25 minutes, the rice dishes had still not arrived. We had to check with the staff, who then started asking around in the kitchen. Eventually, we were informed that the Nasi Lemak was not ready and would take another 5 minutes. I was quite frustrated that we were not informed earlier and had to follow up ourselves. When the Chicken Cutlet Fried Rice was finally served, I immediately noticed that the chicken did not look right. Upon touching it, I realized it was cold and uncooked, raising serious concerns about food safety. I had to stop my son from eating it. At this point, we lost our appetite and patience and decided to cancel the remaining order. I informed your staff that we would only pay for the food we consumed. While they apologized and offered a 10% discount, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. We are regular customers at your Thomson Plaza branch and have never encountered such issues. We genuinely enjoy your food, but the service and food quality at the Plantation Plaza outlet fell far below expectations. This experience raises concerns about food safety and service efficiency, which I hope your management will seriously address.

IG: mattnotgloss This newly opened place offers a good variety of Malaysian cuisine, and the price point is reasonable, which explains the long queues, especially on weekends. The curry noodles were not the typical local curry, which can, at times, be very lemak. It was more similar to the kind cooked with evaporated milk, allowing it to be creamy and flavourful without being overpowering. The nasi lemak was interesting. The rice was not the usual fluffy basmati rice one would expect. Imagine the rice as a fusion between chicken rice and lemak rice. This was not a bad thing, though. As I chewed on the grains, they released a nice aroma. The sambal, which was not overly spicy, elevated the dish with its spiced savory profile. The achar balanced out the greasiness, making the staple a rather wholesome dish to have at any time of day. Coffee was smooth and fragrant, and the usual sweetness would be just right for the majority. The Shao pau was a disappointment, though. The fillings lacked fragrance, and the dough, while flaky, was a little dry. Overall, this is a nice place, conveniently located beside the MRT, to satisfy your cravings for Malaysian delights.

I'm a bit disappointed with their iced coffee and Milo Dinosaur. They were very diluted. As for the food, the Mee Siam and KL Dai Luk Mee were good. The Penang Char Kway Teow was just so-so. One staff member was eating dinner while serving customers. I felt bad for them. Please allow your staff to sit down and finish their dinner before continuing to serve customers.

Here's an edited version of the review: Cons: The nasi lemak rice tasted undercooked. Food was very slow to come. Don't come for dinner because many things are sold out. Salted egg chicken fried rice is expensive and tough. Waiters can't understand English or Chinese; you have to point to the menu. Pros: The carrot cake had wok hei. Tips: To join as a member, scan the QR code. Go to settings to set up your birthday to get a birthday discount. Then go to the cashier to top up your account.

The food was not on par with Malaysian delicacies. It tasted more like local food. The service staff was poor, and no service was given. The Penang fried kway teow was too oily. Only the coffee cham was decent.

Newly opened outlet in Tengah. It’s less crowded at the moment. Nasi Lemak was good, especially the chili and the chicken. The rojak is also good for sharing. Seats here are a little limited, but I think it’s worth the wait for the affordable, delicious food.

The food is very nice, and the service is friendly and polite. The environment is comfortable to talk and hang out in. I will definitely come back.

Food took a long time to be served. My fried rice with fried chicken was very bland, and the Hokkien Mee was very salty. The egg tart was so cold. The only saving grace is the coffee.

Disappointing experience at this Nanyang-themed cafe. Shockingly, they ran out of coffee, which is a staple in Nanyang culture. To make matters worse, I opted for their tea instead, which was sadly below average. The food was mediocre, lacking a 'wow' factor. Unfortunately, I've had better experiences at other Nanyang-inspired cafes in Singapore. But what left a sour taste was the service team's attitude, which was really rough. It made me wonder if they've had any hospitality training or guidance. The final nail in the coffin was the nasi lemak chicken, which was partially raw. At that point, I didn't even bother to follow up, as it would've been a waste of more time and effort.
